Cajun Steamer Bar & Grill is coming to Murfreesboro in early November

October 5, 2021

Watch out Bubba Gandy’s, Captain D’s and The Fish House Sports Bar. You too Cousins Maine Lobster, Red Crab Juicy Seafood, Crab Fever and any other crabs and crustaceans we forgot.

Murfreesboro’s seafood scene is about to get more competitive. Introducing Cajun Steamer Bar & Grill, a new local eatery promising to change your seafood senses through Louisiana-style boils and Cajun/Creole entrees.

Boiled crawfish. Char-grilled oysters. (Actually, oysters three different ways). Gulf shrimp. Three types of gumbo. Crawfish etouffee. Shrimp and grits. Red beans and rice. Frozen drinks and beignets.

“We’re bringing a taste of Louisiana to Middle Tennessee, the culture we grew up in,” said Harper Hollis, the general manager of the Murfreesboro location.

“It’s hopefully (going to be) like walking into a New Orleans version of ‘Cheers’ (popular NBC sitcom of the 1980s and early 1990s), but you’re going to get some incredible food.” Harper previously served in the same position at the franchise’s Franklin location. The Murfreesboro restaurant is projected to open Tuesday, Nov. 2 at 2108 Medical Center Parkway.

“We couldn’t be more excited to share our heritage with the community, make new friends and show them how to party Cajun Steamer-style,” said Gaston Lanaux, president and chief operating officer of Cajun Steamer. “We are thrilled to say that day is drawing near and can’t wait for our new friends to experience all we have to offer.”
